Next week the United States Olympic Committee is going to visit Chicago for the final time before the April 14 decision. On that day they will announce the U.S. city that will go up against cities from around the globe for the opportunity to host the 2016 Olympic Games.One element that clearly distinguishes Chicago is the ability of our corporate, public and community leaders to join together to make bold visions happen. We want to show the USOC that we are a city united by the opportunity to host the world in the heart of our city, in the heart of our nation.

Our bid focuses on our desire to bring the people of 200 nations together to celebrate the best in athletic competition in one of the greatest cities in the world. The true legacy of Chicago 2016, however, will be the realization of yet another bold vision. Not only to celebrate global harmony but to inspire it for generations to come.
