Beyond Pandora and YouTube, Progressive Artists at Unsigned

April 5th, 2007 · No Comments

Pandora and YouTube are great for a number of things, but there are some instances when I wish it “embraced” the social aspects of the Web and become “more” accessible to independent and progressive artists. There are Web solutions (platforms) available though that enable more Progressive Artists to have their “voices” heard. 2000 independent artists have signed on to Unsigned.com looking for the chance to be discovered.

According to the site, for bands and solo artists “This Beta release of the site is the result of feedback from artists and listerners, and will provide unparalelled choices for artists to showcase their music - for the listerners to discover their talent!”

They have some interesting features for the site on the horizon, such as a Music Player to manage a subscribers library of favorite artis, a Playlist Editor to manage favorites and finally a CD Creator which enables anyone to create and sell their own CD compilations.
