I got a tip about six months ago that Business.com was putting itself up for sale. They made a formal announcement a few months back and it’s finally come true - to the tune of a whopping $350 million.
After speaking with a few people about this acquisition yesterday, I learned that RH Donnely has a history of making idiotic buys. This one however (all agreed) that this one take the virtual cake. At revenues of ONLY $15 million a year - it will take these YP (yellow pages) idiots about 20 years to see any return. And that’s factoring in the value of the domain.
RHD, if you haven’t signed the papers yet - don’t. Build it, don’t buy it.
