So I thought I would try out Google Gears for Google Reader tonight. All things considered pretty cool.

Unfortunately,  I noticed that it strips out images in the posts it has downloaded. I’m not sure if I need to turn on or off some setting or what so any tips would be most appreciated.

A few interesting things I learned from this however. 1) I’m amazed that so many bloggers use images as essential content in their posts - which is great (I guess). And 2) I am also amazed at how many bloggers include 1×1 pixes images to track (or double check I can only assume) on how many people are reading through various readers (how sneaky!). 3) Hopefully, this will force bloggers to go to full feeds instead of partial feeds.
